We offer a variety of unique and fun programs for all ages and levels.
This is a great way to get exercise in a beautiful, natural setting with a qualified guide and wonderful people. These programs need to be registered through Comox Recreation Department @ 1855 Noel Street, Comox. For any questions you can call them directly @ 339.2255 or give us a call at 339.0580.
Kayak Coffee Club (16+)
Dates: May 19th , June 16th @ 6:00am – 8:00am
Cost: $32.50

Location: At Tree Island’s Dock
Description:
Start your weekend off by watching the sunrise over Baines Sound and enjoying a mug of organic coffee/tea beside the ocean. After a few stretches and the coffee kicks in, we will head out for a guided paddle around the estuary to view the wildlife starting their day.

Adult Discover Sea Kayaking (16+)

Description:
Discover why so many people participate in and enjoy the free feeling of sea kayaking. During this 3 hour lesson, you and your instructor will cover the necessary equipment, clothing, warm up, exit/entry from the dock or beach, and all the strokes to make your kayak glide effortlessly through the estuary. Come alone or bring a friend and get involve in the valley’s most popular activity.
Sea Kayaking Strokes Development and Tour (16+)

Description:
This tour is for individuals who have taken our Discover Kayaking Course, or who have had some experience in a kayak. On the agenda is wildlife viewing and a tour of the Royston Wrecks. Your instructor will remind you of previous skills, fine tune your strokes so the least amount of effort is required to maneuver your boat and introduce a few new skills to ensure you are both comfortable in your kayak as well as the following day.
Rescue Ready Sea Kayaker (12+)
Dates: May 24th , June 21st @ 6:00pm – 8:30pm

Location: Goose Spit, inside bay
Description:
Being rescue ready goes beyond just getting back into your boat. This course is designed to build confidence, skill base and takes the “what if’s” out of the sport of sea kayaking. We will cover capsize and wet exits, assisted rescues, self rescues and equipment you should carry when sea kayaking any amount of distance. A big fire to warm you up as we watch the sunset and recap what we learned.

Description: If it is your first time kayaking or you’re looking for some good conversation and exercise in a beautiful natural setting with a bunch of woman than this is for you. You can sign up for just one that intrigues you or you can go to all four for a discounted price. They all go over basic paddling skills with a female instructor for the first 15 minutes.
Pirate Island Kayak Adventure (8+)

Father’s Day Cruise and Picnic (8+)

Description: This Father’s Day bring him out on a sea kayak cruise to a secluded beach to explore and enjoy roasting hot dogs on a warm fire. Your guide will show you both the basic skills needed to chase each other around the water, or try a two person kayak and create lasting memories. This one fills fast so create a memorable day you’re your dad today!

Description:Experienced Kayakers Only. Kayaking has always been thought of as a daytime activity. But when the moon is full, the water turns silver and the stars shine bright enough to see everything around you. We finish back at our dock with a cup of hot chocolate or tea under the full moon.
