An additional 7% GST (Goods and Services Tax) is added to all prices unless otherwise indicated. Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars. Payment in US$ will be credited at the current exchange rate.

We can accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express over the phone, or you can mail a certified cheque, money order, or traveler’s cheques.

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to book any of these tours. We encourage guests to book as far as possible in advance to ensure date and time availability. These tours are subject to our standard booking procedures, will run weather permitting, and require at least two participants. There is no deposit required for these tours but a prompt verbal cancellation is greatly appreciated.

A 30% deposit of the total trip cost is required when booking a multi-day trip. The balance is due within 60 days prior to trip departure. If booking within 60 days of a trip date we require full payment of the trip cost. All reservations are accepted and confirmed in the order they are received.

We require a written cancellation notice for all of our multi-day trips.

Refund of trip payments will be issued in accordance with the following schedule.

• More than 60 days prior to departure, full refund less $75.00 administration fee
• 59 – 30 days prior to departure, full refund less deposit
• Less than 29 days prior to departure no refund will be given unless we are able to book someone else in your place. In which case, there will be a full refund less deposit

Tree Island Kayaking is not responsible for the cost of any delays or changes caused by circumstances that are out of our control. We specialize in small groups, therefore our trips will proceed with as little as two participants.

We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation, emergency evacuation, medical and baggage insurance. You can purchase this at your local travel agency.

No experience is necessary for any of our trips. However, we recommend pre-trip research and physical conditioning to ensure that your outdoor kayaking experience is more enjoyable. We also request that you arrive with good general health and with everything on your equipment check list. The activity that you will be participating in is not particularly strenuous or physically demanding but some agility and effort must be performed, and at times under stressful circumstances. Keeping an open mind, expecting the unexpected, and being outfitted for any condition is key to having an enjoyable experience in the wilderness.

We will send you this form after we receive your deposit. It must be filled out completely and returned to us at least 30 days prior to your trip departure date, along with the release of liability and medical forms. These forms are available in PDF format by clicking the links below, or by requesting them by phone or email.

The Tree Island Kayaking Release of Liability form must be read, understood and signed before taking any rental, or participating in any tour or trip. This form releases Tree Island Kayaking from any liability or injury.

This form needs to be completely filled out to the best of your knowledge prior to your trip. This information will be kept in complete confidentiality unless required for medical attention by appropriate health officials.
